The mission of the Nor Cal Rental Property Association (NCRPA) Public Affairs Department is to protect the interests of rental property owners and managers while promoting the advantages of rental housing to the community. The public affairs activities of the Association have a direct impact on the bottom line of rental property owners throughout the region. By working as a group, we have been able to shorten eviction delay procedures, and protect property owners from additional lawsuits, among other accomplishments.
In Sacramento, the State Capitol, the NCRPA is represented by lobbyist Ron Kingston who takes direction from NCRPA volunteer members and staff. Those same volunteers carry NCRPA’s views to the broader network of the Golden State Housing Providers, a network of regional entities representing 17,000 rental property owners and managers who share similar beliefs and convictions regarding the industry and advocate to those principals individually.
In Washington, D.C., as members of the National Apartment Association, the NCRPA members have a direct voice to our Congressional representatives and have been able to impact issues such as 1099 Reporting as well as Bed Bug regulations.
